Be Yourself Always

I felt her pain bleed through her text message. Insecurity and self-doubt had raised it’s ugly head. I know. I have met the bully who shouts “not good enough” to the female heart. I quickly texted back, “Be yourself always, because you are awesome.”

It is true my friends.

No fluff is necessary. No camouflage is wanted. No pretending. No acting. No nonsense. The world needs the authentic You.

Be the YOU who is fearfully and wonderfully made. “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14 (NIV)

Be the YOU who is loved with an everlasting love. “The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV)

Be the YOU who is beautiful and priceless in the eyes of a loving God. “Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;” Isaiah 49:16 (ESV)

Be the YOU that no one else could ever be. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
