“I have a dream!”
I can’t hear that statement without thinking of the powerful work God did thru Martin Luther King, Jr. I too have a dream planted in the deep recesses of my soul by my Creator. My dream might not be as noble as his, or as far-reaching, but it is my dream nonetheless.
What I have come to realize is my dream has been buried deep under layers of ‘I can’t;’ ‘I don’t have time;’ ‘a list of responsibilities’ and ‘fear of failure.’ But in my quiet moments, I still dream. The dream has been ignored; abused and rejected. Yet, it still lives . . . barely.
Have you ever been paralyzed because of your thought life or unfounded fears?
I have decided to unearth the dream. I choose to dust it off and breathe life into this passion. I will ignore the excuses running around in my head, for I have two choices. I can chase the dream or wish I had. So, I choose to begin the chase. I will run. I will run some more. I will catch my breath but continue to chase.
I saw on a friend’s post recently, these words. “Walk boldly into the very thing you think you can’t do.”
How about you? Do you have a dream from God? Do you have a buried passion that needs a breath of fresh air? Let us be women who decided to go for it! I know God has and will give you everything you need to accomplish whatever He has for you. I think you are more beautiful than you might believe and I know you are capable of accomplishing great things.
In this season, your dream may be for your kids to stay in bed tonight! I understand. Honestly, I’ve been there. Stay the course and allow the Lord to use you to mold your children. Don’t give up on that wish and celebrate every accomplishment towards that goal. Maybe you’re in the season of life to start a business or a ministry! Do it! Whatever He has called us to; Wherever we are, let’s decide to go for it. Let’s honor Him through striving to accomplish the dream within us.
Zig Zigler states, “If you can dream it, then you can achieve it.” Albert Einstein stated, “Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts.”
So what is it that God wants you to accomplish today, my friend? What dreams has He put in your heart? Maybe you have heard the quote, “Today is a perfect day to start living your dreams.” (Unknown Author)
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)
“Be strong and courageous and get to work. Don’t be frightened by the size of the task, for the Lord my God is with you; he will not forsake you. He will see to it that everything is finished correctly. 1 Chronicles 28:20 (TLB)
