God's Girls and a Limelight Hydrangea

I am irresistibly drawn to the large cone-shaped flower heads of a limelight hydrangea! The sheer volume of the flowers is striking. The tiny, delicate petals create a lush, large whole. The hydrangea exudes a sense of beauty and abundance. It is also a showcase as it slowly transitions during the seasons. In the summer, it blooms from lime green to an elegant creamy white, then blushes with a rich red or pink in the fall, giving fresh shades of beauty in different seasons.

As I ponder the limelight's striking beauty in each season, I desire a similar beauty displayed for my life and yours. As believers, we are a reflection of our Lord. I aspire to embody new life and new growth given by Him, much like the vibrant lime green hydrangea that bursts forth in the spring. The flower, with its delicate but lush foliage, serves as a powerful symbol of a spiritual life that continues to grow with God's grace. Both display beauty even in the hot, dry months or challenging days.

As we grow and become more like Him, we will become a faithful believer who has stories to tell of God's grace along the seasons of life. Because of God's strength within, we can be transformed through His power, reflecting beauty in each season- a new believer to the rich beauty of maturity found in Him. 2 Corinthians 3:18 reads, "So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord, who is the Spirit, makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image." Today is a good day to stand with beauty and truth, displaying the image of our Lord.
