Our Babies

My Friend, Are you sadden by the recent choice of our society? Or maybe you are facing an old hurt this week as you hide your hidden secret of an abortion.

To the moms who have had an abortion, I love you. God loves you. He gives forgiveness, grace and every momma her choice. God loves your child more deeply than we can comprehend. He is taking good care of your little one in heaven. God understands death for human hands took the life of his child as well. He feels your pain. He promises to be near when you are hurting. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 (NIV)

None of us need to point fingers whether we are pro-life or pro-choice; the truth is we are all guilty. God’s word says, “There is none righteous no not one.” This means my pro-life and pro-choice friends are both sinners. We have all messed up. Maybe you have had an abortion, God forgives. Maybe you have not had an abortion, well, be encouraged because God will forgive the other baggage you and I carry as well. God gives the forgiveness and peace we ALL crave. God loves us deeply no matter what our past actions include. Psalm 103:12 (ESV) reads “as far as the East is from the West, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”

The truth is we all need to “Be a voice of help,” so momma’s won’t feel the pressure to abort. Walk with her, mentor her and stand up for her. But also be a voice for the helpless babies in the womb. God loves the children. He has created each one in His image. “Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.” Proverbs 24:11 (NIV) Care for those hurting and help the people around you. “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.” Psalm 82:3 (NIV)

My friends, I believe the best way to help this hurting world is to give Jesus. He gives life. He is life. Share His goodness, tell of His forgiveness. Give His grace and live out His love. John 10:10 (NIV) says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

Today, I encourage you to share of His love for He is our hope. He heals and helps the hurting. He gives the promises of peace and forgiveness. I am grateful for His goodness, aren’t you?
