Interesting isn’t it, how God has a way of having Big things deep inside small packages? The tiny acorn, typically 1-6 cm long, can grow into an 80-foot tall tree. People mature and develop into beautiful, influential adults accomplishing far more than we could ever imagine!

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) reads, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This verse was written to the conquered people of Israel. The prophet Jeremiah penned this letter during the Israelites captivity. It took time, 70 years, but their future was freedom, a revival to their souls and rebuilding of their homeland. The Lord promised plans to prosper, give hope and a future when they were in a small and bleak place. 

So today, my friend, if you are feeling small and less-than, it is time to stop. Just stop. You have been created to step into more than you probably could ever imagine. Even if you do not see the end of the story yet, it does not mean it isn’t true. 

“And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

Like the tiny acorn; my friend, grow, live, mature. There are big things inside little packages.
