Family!

Family.

One little word that can hold so much.

Mine holds love. Laughter. Memories. Traditions.

But it also holds disagreements, disappointments, different personalities, and sometimes hurt.

Family can bring us some of life's greatest joy—and require some of our greatest effort.

Strong families don't just happen. They are built intentionally.

My family is a hot mess sometimes, but they are so perfect for me. ❤️

Colossians 3:13–14 reminds us to bear with one another, forgive one another, and above all, put on love.

Bear with one another means there will be things to bear.

Forgive one another means there will be things to forgive. And believe me, I am probably the most imperfect one in the bunch. My family has forgiven me countless times.

And "put on love" reminds us that sometimes love is a choice before it is a feeling.

To me, that's real family.

Real family is imperfect people choosing to love one another again and again.

Real family is imperfect people choosing to love one another again and again.

Sometimes fighting for your family means making the phone call.

Sometimes it means being the first to say, "I'm sorry."

Sometimes it means listening instead of proving your point.

Often, it means forgiving.

Sometimes it means praying when you don't know what else to do.

Other times, it simply means showing up.

So make the time. Sit around the table. Give grace. Forgive quickly. Say "I love you." Pray for one another. Show up for each other.

And don't allow busyness, pride, or distraction to steal something God intended to be precious.

Family isn't about getting it all right. It's about choosing, again and again, to love each other through it all.

I love these guys with all my heart. ❤️ Each. One. Deeply.

Enjoy these pics from a recent weekend away. 😊

At His Feet,

Becky
