Just Because I Miss Her

I am off on an adventure. -Not one filled with elaborate plans or extravagant destinations, but one far more meaningful — time spent with my daughter.

Time to hug. Time to talk. Time to laugh. Time to sit quietly in each other’s presence and feel the comfort that only a daughter can bring.

I don't know about you but my life has a way of moving quickly. Days turn into weeks, and weeks into months. Work schedules, responsibilities, and the endless demands of everyday life can quietly consume my attention. Before I know it, the people I love most can unintentionally receive what little time I have left over.

So today, I get to do importance things. I get to show up. I get to hug my girl.

In a world that glorifies busyness, choosing connection is a quiet act of wisdom. God created us for relationships — to love deeply, encourage one another, and carry each other through every season of life. Family is one of His sweetest gifts.

A Verse to Hold Close

“Above all, love each other deeply— 1 Peter 4:8 a

Deep love is cultivated in consistency. In checking in. In making the phone call. In taking the trip. In choosing togetherness when life gives us countless excuses to stay busy.

So if there is someone you love — a parent, a child, a sibling, or a dear friend — and it has been too long since you truly connected, reach out today. Send the text. Make the call. Plan the visit. Say the words.

Because one day, these ordinary moments will become extraordinary memories. And perhaps that is one of life’s greatest blessings: knowing that the simplest moments often become the most sacred.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of family and for the relationships that shape our hearts and lives. In the middle of busy schedules and endless responsibilities, help us remember what truly matters. Teach us to slow down, to be present, and to love deeply.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
