Recently, my favorite guy and I ‘tapped out’ to settle under my favorite cozy white blanket. A mesmerizing pattern of falling rain offered a calming cadence. In our private and treasured moment, we breathed deeply and exhaled the day. As we rested, he reached gently for my hand. It was something he has done countless times.
A simple touch, but with a BIG message. No words needed. His holding whispered, “You are mine, and I am yours. I am here when the rain is soft. I am here when the storms are heavy.”
Honestly, it is a promise he has kept for 12,301 days.
As we snuggled, I thank my Lord for the gift of this man, but also for my Heavenly Father. My Heavenly Father places His love as a blanket over me. He is the true one to never leave me or forsake me. He is with me in the storms of life every single moment. (Matthew 28:20)
Friends, on this Valentine’s, whether you nestle under a cozy white blanket with your Love or the LOVER of your soul, (who loves you more than anyone else), be reminded how deeply you are adored and cherished.
Every day your heavenly Father is whispering, “You are mine and I am yours. You are loved.” But no words are needed really, for Christ has already proven His love for you on the cross. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (ESV)
Today, sweet sisters, just rest.
Rest under His blanket of love.
