It was a simple act of kindness—a compliment said to me that morning long ago—but it has stayed with me. The sincere compliment was priceless.

In our busy world, kindness is often forgotten. However, small acts of kindness can have a significant impact. Kindness spreads goodness in ways we might not even understand. A kind word spoken or a positive gesture allows others to see the love of Christ within. It spreads good will. God tells Christ-followers to "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32). This verse reminds me to be compassionate and understanding. You and I can be loving to others because Christ forgave us. We are to live with kindness -as a rhythm of Christianity. A beautiful reminder is that kindness can come in simple acts, such as a genuine compliment or a quick smile. These simple gestures can fit anyone's busy schedule. We have no excuses not to show kindness. Remember, we live for a God that has forgiven us of so much. Indeed, we can give sincere compliments and a quick smile.
