When did we get so serious?
Somewhere along the way, adulthood got a little too serious.
Bills.
Schedules.
Deadlines.
Laundry.
Responsibilities.
And people who test our sanctification. 😂 HAHA!
Recently, I came across this old picture from long ago. I was goofing off with a friend. I wasn't worried about looking sophisticated or put together.
Clearly. 😂
Friends, remember, life is meant to be lived, not just managed.
Remember, life is meant to be lived, not just managed.
Proverbs 17:22 says, “A cheerful heart is good medicine.” God has given us so many reasons to smile—the laughter around the dinner table, ridiculous pictures, inside jokes, grandbabies, good friends, and ordinary moments that become treasured memories. Maybe maturity isn't about becoming more serious. Maybe it's about becoming more secure—secure enough in Christ to laugh at ourselves, enjoy the moments, and live in freedom.
So, friend...
When God gives you a reason to laugh—laugh.
When He gives you people to enjoy—enjoy them.
And when He gives you a ridiculous old picture—post it. 😂
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of joy. Help me to laugh freely, love deeply, and enjoy the beautiful life You have given me.
Amen.
