Have you ever had a caffeine-confidence kind-of-day?
You know, when you drink too much caffeine and think you can conquer the world!? I have! I over-commit and over-promise. The problem with my caffeine confidence is there is also a caffeine slump after a few hours. But no worries - it won't stop me from my much loved coffee habit! Haha
However, there is a confidence that is better than the fleeting one that comes from caffeine. It is confidence that comes from the Lord! When walking in His will and His way, you can conquer the work He has ordained for you! You and I were created for a special role in this life. God has designed us for a notable purpose. In His promises, you can claim His confidence to accomplish His will for your life.
Today, I want to give you ten Godly Promises to start your morning! These are even better than your first-morning cup of java! (or tea if you prefer)
God can be trusted in the good and the bad. Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
God loves you deeply. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He sent his only begotten son that who ever believes in Him will be saved."
You were purposely designed with a purpose for your life. Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
God will give you the power you need for today. 2 Timothy 1:7 “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
God will give you the wisdom needed to live your life well. –James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
You are strong in Him. 1 Peter 5:10 "And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
God wants you to have a full and abundant life. John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
You can find joy in Jesus Christ and Him alone. Psalm 16:11 “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
God is always good and will be good to you. Psalm 86:5 ""For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in loving kindness to all who call upon You."
God keeps His promises. Joshua 21:45 “Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”
Friends, there is more to life than caffeine confidence. I know. And I am learning to live this out myself. Ha! However, you and I can find lasting strength in the Lord and His promises. This is a much better plan for conquering the world. :) His confidence lived out in our lives shows others the peace and power of our Heavenly Father.
My advice - Have a great and Godly day walking in His promises as you enjoy a good cup of coffee. :)
