Off on an Adventure!

I am off for a grand adventure with the sweet ladies of West Cabarrus Church! We are headed to the beautiful Montreat Conference Center near Asheville, NC. Seventy souls will gather for a few days to dig into God's word and spend time with each other. I can't wait!

I genuinely wish all of you could join me. (Next year, perhaps?)

However, will you remember us in spirit? We will dig deep into God's word as we pause to Consider Our Ways. We will unpack the book of Haggai as guest speaker Tabatha Frost shares with us. Would you please pray for her and every attendee?

Three Specific Ways to Pray:

1. Pray for peace as ladies enter the marathon of getting things ready to attend, from securing care for the little ones to finishing work projects and even driving to the mountains. Pray for peace in the panic of just getting there. Pray for safety as they travel.

"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you." Isaiah 26:3 (ESV)

2. Pray for open hearts and a clear message once on campus. Pray for every lady attending to be able to find rest and be renewed. Pray for the Lord to use this time to strengthen, encourage, and challenge our souls. David prayed, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. "Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit." Psalm 51:10-12 (ESV)

3. Pray for a settled assurance to walk in the truths learned as we return home. Pray that we will be forever challenged and changed for His glory and our good. Pray we will be ready to love and live the Gospel message when we return.
